International Plasmid Biology Conference 2010

Dear Colleagues, Dear Friends:

We are proud to invite you to the IPBC -2010, the coming official meeting of the International Society for Plasmid Biology and other Mobile Genetic Elements (ISPB). The Congress will be held from November 6th to November 12th in the city of Bariloche, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the South-Andes mountains in Argentina. The official host of the meeting is the National University of La Plata, by the way of its Institute of Biotechnology and Molecular Biology - Facultad de Ciencias Exactas. Conferences, plenary sessions, and poster sessions will take place at the Villa Huinid Resort - Bariloche Patagonia located at the Nahuel Huapi Lake at the base of the majestic Andes.

The 2010 ICPB will cover principal areas representing the biology of plasmid and other mobile genetic elements including replication, partition/stability, transfer, evolution, ecology, modern genomics, systems biology, as different applied aspects. The meeting structure will include plenary conferences, short-oral presentations, poster sessions, and informal discussions. Daily sessions will be in charge of both invited speakers as well as speakers selected from the submitted abstract's authors.

The Local Organizing Committee and the ISPB Board are joining their efforts to make of this Congress an event you will remember. The scientific, social, and recreational activities planned for the duration of the meeting are expected to please every guest. Bariloche is a small and safe city, with a rich natural and turistical background (it´s certainly a great family destination).

We will do the best of our self to convert this version of the IPBC in a memorable meeting. We want you all to come and participate in the scientific activities of the IPBC 2010 to meet your colleagues and friends, and to experience the Argentinean culture.
