Travel to Pittsburgh

It is strongly advised that you make your travel arrangements as early as possible, preferably several months ahead of time.  This will ensure the cheapest air ticket.  Also, a Saturday night stay greatly reduces the air fare and the meeting dates have been set with this in mind. 

For planning purposes, it will be helpful if you let Dr. Saleem Khan know of your arrival date, airline and flight number and the time of arrival.  To travel from the airport to the Holiday Inn Select located in the Oakland section of the city, there is a convenient shuttle service run by the Airlines Transportation Company.  This shuttle leaves the Airport at 10 AM, 12, 2 and 4 PM on Saturdays and 10 AM,12, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 PM on Sunday and the trip to the hotel takes approximately 45 minutes.  The one-way cost is $15 and round trip is $26.  The bus leaves the hotel for the airport on weekdays at 5:50 AM and there is service every hour until 7:50 PM.  The US AIRWAYS has a hub in Pittsburgh and there are non-stop flights to Pittsburgh from most major cities in the US.  There are nonstop US Airways flights from Canada (Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa) to Pittsburgh as well.  US Airways also flies non-stop from Paris, London and Frankfurt to Pittsburgh.  US Airways also has service from Amsterdam, Munich, Rome, Madrid, Manchester and Brussels to Pittsburgh through a connection in Philadelphia.  For more information on US Airways, visit their web site at http://www.usairways.com.  In addition, most major US Airlines have service to Pittsburgh.  You can also fly to US on most International Airlines and make a connection to Pittsburgh.

• Log on to usairways.com

• From the home page, select "more options".

• Enter the details of your trip, selecting "My Dates are Set"; highlight the Meetings & Conventions option in the Select Applicable Program pull-down menu; then click the "Search Flights" button.  No promotion code is needed to book travel.  Leave the "Promotion Code" box blank.

• Enter your US Airways Meeting ID: MTG000050,  Enter your Login name and Password.  (If you do not have a traveler profile with usairways.com, you'll be asked to create one.)  Select "Submit" if you are ready to proceed or "Cancel" as appropriate.
